Paintings of spiritual dreams and visions
Acts 2:17 And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:
The Broken Vessel
Watercolor on paper. Original is sold. Prints available.
This painting was inspired by a vision I had in 2007 when I was asked to minister on my harp for a church north of Detroit. Everything was going wrong that day. I was warned not to go because of a snow storm coming. I tried to call the people who had invited me, but couldn't get a hold of them to ask if they were canceling because of the storm. Waiting for their confirmation made us 2 hours late. Tensions were high as we were leaving, causing my husband to get mad at me and tell me to drive there by myself. So I started driving the 4 hour drive by myself, with no one to navigate. I went a few miles and called home to apologize. We made up and he asked me to come get him. So I had to drive back home and pick him up which made us even later. Once on the road, I finally calmed down and prayed. I felt totally useless and unprepared for this trip. People were counting on me.
I felt like everything was drained out of me and I had nothing to give. Then, I realized it wasn't about me anyway, Only Jesus can touch, heal, and change people's lives. So I asked God to use me as a vessel for His glory, even though I was a broken vessel at best. Immediately He showed me a broken vase full of holes and cracks. God's light was shining so brightly through the holes and cracks that I could barely see the vase. The more cracks and holes we have in our lives, the more God's compassion can shine through us. If our lives have never been broken, there is nothing for God's light to shine through. He is not looking for our perfection. All He asks for is a willing vessel to work through. When we trust and humble ourselves to Him, then His love can shine through us and bring hope and comfort to others.
I didn't know it at the time, but, the church had invited a bus load of people from a half way house, a place for people to live who had just got out of prison. Many of them came up for prayer and one called the next day and said he got healed.
2. Corinthians 4:6 Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.

"Breakthrough"
"Breakthrough" 16 X 20 acrylic painting on museum quality stretched canvas and painted on the sides.
Neil Harder had a vision when he started going to our church about a year and a half ago. He was comfortable at his other church, but, felt called to start going to the one I am going to now. He asked God why and God gave him his first vision. It was as though he was looking down from the sky at the church and God showed him there was a spiritual barrier separating outer space from Earth's atmosphere. God wanted to pour out his blessings to the Earth, but, there was a barrier stopping the flow of God's anointing and blessings. An opening appeared over the church, where God could begin to pour out his Holy Spirit. It poured out and splashed out across the land, touching many lives.
Neil tried to describe what he saw and drew a simple sketch to try to depict it. After consulting him and much prayer, this is what I painted. This vision has many levels of meaning. I hope it inspires and blesses you.

"BROKEN YET TRANSFORMED HALLELUJAHS"
22" x 30" watercolor on paper. It is registered with the Fine Art Registry.
I was asked to do a painting based on a man's vision that he had while attending a worship conference a few years ago. He described the vision of a tree trunk with a cornucopia of fruit that was inside the trunk of a tree. The opening of the cornucopia turned into a speaker, with sound vibrations coming out of the speaker. Later I found these scriptures that go along with his vision.
Isaiah 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.
1Chronicles 16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth.
Psalm 96:12 Let the field exult, and all that is therein; Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy.
